Tonight we went to a gallery opening in dowtown Lafayette. A girl from our church small group was part of an exhibit entitled "Bring it Home: A fine art exhibit to increase awareness of orphans." It was fun and the exhibit was really good. After the opening, we walked around downtown and happened upon a doll museum. It was kind of creepy. There were dolls everywhere, all of them collector antiques. As you looked around, you were sort of on guard, just in case one blinked at you or something. But the owner of the museum was extremely friendly. He showed us the oldest dolls from the 1840's and his favorites - his original, mint condition Shirley Temple dolls. He also had Raggedy Ann and Paddington Bear. So despite being creepy, it was actually pretty cool. Our car is fixed. We didn't just break it, we nearly killed it. We broke both struts and a spring coil in the front and a wheel bearing in the back, plus needed to get both rear tires replaced. Yikes! But...
