Beautiful Weather

It has been a beautiful weekend so we spent a little time outside.  Evelyn rocked out her new sunglasses. Aunt Sue and Uncle Lee stopped by for a visit on Sunday on their way home.  I didn't take a picture (grrr) but we had a really nice time.

Happy Easter

Evelyn's first Easter.  Complete with Easter basket filled with candy for Nate and I. Nate's favorite - she was starting to get a little tired of all the pictures

Home

Evelyn's daycare is closed for Good Friday so we get an extra day to hang out together.  No big plans.  Just do some laundry.  There are three really ripe bananas in the kitchen and banana bread sounds good so maybe if Evelyn is well behaved we'll do some baking. hugs and kisses for her sock monkey Wide awake Finally fell asleep Wednesday morning it was pretty chilly here so Evelyn got to wear her little coat to daycare, probably for the last time.

random pictures

Not much going on here.  The past few weekends we have been running around, taking Evelyn here and there, so Nate and I thought it'd be nice to have a weekend where we just stayed home.  And that's what we did. All dressed up for church. Playing with her elephant. Evelyn was a little fussy Sunday night but she wasn't hungry, so we tried a pacifier for the first time.  She seemed to like it and it did calm her down, but I am not so sure I like it.  We will see if it continues to be something we keep using.

2 month check-up

Evelyn's 2 month check-up went very well yesterday.  She weighed 9 lbs 9.5 oz (10th percentile) and was 22.75 inches long (60% percentile).  So she still is a very skinny yet long baby.  The good news is she is maintaining her own growth curve which means we don't have to go back until her 4 month appointment! Sleeping in her car seat at the doctors office Picture day at daycare - the outfit is a little over the top, but her smile is so adorable.

2 months

Evelyn is 2 months old today.  Not too much to report - we have her 2 month check-up next week Tuesday so we will find out then how much she has grown since out last visit. 2 months! Posing with her giraffe Bath time

Baby chicks

Nate has been talking about getting some baby chicks for a while now, but I have been hesitate because well we already have a little baby chick named Evelyn and I wasn't sure I could handle more living in our basement.  But on Sunday we took a trip to Tractor Supply and they had pullets on sale and they are awfully cute, so we came home with 10 little chicks.  Four golden comets, 2 tetra tints, and 4 black australorps. The australorps are actually straight run chickens so we might have a rooster or two in the bunch. Picking out his chickens black australorp Baby chicks just in time for Easter My little chickie
