The Accidental Boilermaker

Aunt C, Amanda, Isaac, and Joshua came to visit this weekend! Friday we went to Sky Zone for toddler time. It was much less crowded than the first time Evelyn and I went which was really nice.  Jameson, Aunt C, and I just watched while everyone else jumped. Issac liked jumping in the foam pit. Saturday morning, playing with blocks before we left for Java Mamas so the kids could play with the toys and the adults could enjoy a special treat. Isaac explaining his "very tricky game" to Jameson and me.  Jameson was super interested. The four cousins all together, eating breakfast.

Jameson is 1 month old.  Nate and I just marvel at how big he is, especially compared to Evelyn at the same age.  He continues to eat well and sleep decently going about 3ish hours between feedings at night. Jameson gets a turtle to take monthly pictures with. Today was Evelyn's friend Bella's 2nd birthday party.  It was held at a nature preserve and all the kids enjoyed watching the birds outside. Roar!  The party was safari themed. Birthday girl opening presents. Evelyn putting her party hat on. Bella got a trampoline for her birthday and everyone loved jumping on it. Jameson just slept through the whole party.  He hung out in the carseat for a while and then Bella's grandmother held him for a long time too.

Evelyn went to a gymnastics open house today.  The first and third Friday of the month is toddler time from 12-1:30.  It was quite busy, but the whole gym was open with every kind of gymnastic equipment and apparatus available so it didn't feel very crowded.  Evelyn of course loved jumping on the trampoline the best.  Jameson slept the whole time in the sling. Climbing on the big mats was a big hit too. This was fun to sit and rock in. Evelyn is also really good at hanging.

Evelyn celebrated turning two yesterday with a small party.  Oma, Grandpa, Grandpa Paul, Aunt Meredith and Jeremy all came. We had pizza and cupcakes.  Evelyn helped sprinkle on the stars. We played a fun game with balloons. And Evelyn opened her presents. Her new basketball hoop was a big success. Yummy cupcakes! Jameson pretty much slept through the whole party.

Jameson is three weeks old today.  He wore his snowman sleeper today in hopes we would get some snow, but so far it's just really cold outside.

Evelyn had her 2 year check-up and Jameson had his 2 week one.  Both did exceptionally well, especially Evelyn.  She was so cooperative the doctor let his med student look and listen to her as well. Evelyn weighed 26 lb (42nd percentile) and was 34.5 inches tall (78th percentile).  She was adorable in her little gown.  The doctor thought she was right on target for all her developmental milestones. Current favorites for Evelyn include: Daniel Tiger's neighborhood, The Jungle Book movie, and Wagon Wheel by Darius Rucker.  She is pretty good at counting and can kinda say the alphabet, but still thinks every color is red. Jameson weighed 8 lb 13 oz (57th percentile) and was 21.75 inches long (94th percentile!).  I wasn't too surprised to see he had surpassed his birth weight.  He looks bigger to me and he is such a good eater.  The doctor commented on how mellow Jameson is, which is true.  He is a much more chill baby than Evelyn ev...

Evelyn is two years old today!  Where did the last year go?  Good morning birthday girl! We had cinnamon rolls for breakfast and later in the morning Evelyn's friend Bella came over for a play date. When Nate came home Evelyn opened her presents. Not to out do his sister, but Jameson is two weeks old today too
