The Accidental Boilermaker

I made pizza for dinner and yes it has an egg on it. It was different but good. We did a little packing and Penny helped.

It is amazing how much heat and humidity can make a difference during a run.  Last weekend in Holland it was 55 degrees when I started my run and I don't know what the humidity was but it couldn't have been very high.  Today in West Lafayette, it was 70 degrees when I left at 6:45 and 57% humidity (which is not super high I know but I'm trying to prove a point). We got to spend the weekend with family in Michigan. We trailered up the sailboat since we decided not to bring it to Virginia. Nate and I spent Saturday morning in Holland. Nate worked at JP's and I ran. We spent lots of time with Isaac but I didn't take any pictures! On the way home our car broke down. But we got a tow and while we waited some nice people brought us ice water (Hoosier hospitality at its finest). It all worked out because we got to eat at the Whistle Stop in Monon, something we've wanted to do for the past 5 years.

Kate and I ran the mini marathon in Indy today.  It was hot and humid, but we made it.  It was Kate's first half marathon and she did great!  We finished in 2:45:25. Before the race Almost to the finish.  We just saw Nate.  All done!!!  We found our parents just past the finish.  Posing with our medals.
