Turtle

Evelyn saw her first turtle this morning. She was pretty excited. Being silly at Kroger.

Father's Day recap

I think Nate had a nice Father's Day on Sunday.  We went out to brunch and Evelyn was fairly well behaved.  She did not stay asleep as long as we thought she would, but she was easily distracted in her car seat.  We watched a lot of soccer and Nate worked in the garden.  He has done an amazing job with the garden this year. I was instructed to post some photos of Evelyn.  So here she is sleeping in her sling, which she loves. Sleeping on the couch. And playing with her hippo.

4 month check-up

Evelyn had her 4 month check-up on Tuesday.  The doctor was very pleased with her progress and development.  She is still awfully skinny at 12 lbs 1.5 oz (8th percentile) and fairly long at 25 1/4 inches (79th percentile). All three of us have been fighting a stomach bug this week.  It started with me on Sunday and I finally started to feel back to normal last night.  Nate had it worst; he stayed home from work yesterday.  Evelyn seemed to be affected the least.  She had some pretty good spit-ups yesterday, but nothing worse than that.  Thank goodness.

4 months old

Evelyn is 4 months old today.  June started out with a big first for all three of us - Evelyn slept in her own crib in the nursery for the first time Sunday night.  And she slept through the night!  I bragged about it at work on Monday and everyone teased me because while Evelyn didn't wake up till morning, between Nate and I, I think we checked on her 5 separate times.  She slept in her crib again last night, but did wake up once. Pictures for this month are marked by the fact that Evelyn really wanted to pull the sticker off her onesie. Penny, sigh
