Saturday night dinner

Everyone once in a while we splurge on a really good dinner. And in case you are wondering, we split one salmon filet (so there are leftovers!).

Gearing up

New shoes for the mini marathon.

Sleep deprived part 2

The big reveal, unless you saw my facebook status from Thursday night. Nate and I went with a bunch of friends Thursday night/Friday morning to see The Hunger Games opening night. It was the second time I've been to an opening night of a movie. In high school I saw Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. I love watching movies in a full theater, especially movies that have kind of a cult following. Everybody laughs and cheers and reacts together. The only thing better than a full theater is when you're the only people at the movie. Then you can talk and make comments and no cares. Anyway, as is with all books turned into movies, the book is always better. The movie was however still good (but maybe not so good as to warrant staying up practically the whole night). So my advice is read the books first.

Back from Virginia

We spent the weekend in Salem, Virginia, checking out apartments and just getting a basic sense of where we will be living next year. While Salem is not very big, just next door is Roanoke which is a decent size and even has two Targets (but neither are super Targets - I will just have to adjust). Blacksburg is about 45 minutes away and I'm already gearing up to be a big Hokie fan. While most of the trip was work, we did manage a little fun. Nate hiking the Appalachian Trail. A view from the top of the trail. Taking a break before hiking back down.

Penny

The only thing Penny loves more than curling up on a pile of clothes is laying all over Nate's laptop case.

Happy Valentines Day

It snowed last night so Nate cleaned off my car. What a sweetie : )
