Aunt Meredith

Meredith came over for the day.  We did some shopping in the morning and then went to the park in the afternoon. Aunt Meredith also had fun with snapchat while I wasn't looking.

Happy Easter

We spent Easter weekend in Decatur with Mimi and Grandpa.  Everyone had a good time.  Evelyn was well behaved and Jameson was happy and slept well.  On Saturday we had an Easter egg hunt and fed the ducks at the park.  Sunday we went to church.  The service was lovely and we got to hear Mimi sing in the choir.  We took lots of pictures before we left for home.  Here are some of my favorites. Mimi and Grandpa with the great-grandchildren Grandpa Jim and Jameson Evelyn and Jameson - Mimi and Grandpa made the bunny and Easter egg lawn decorations. Just the boys Just the girls

Easter fun

We went to the Botanical Gardens this morning for some Easter fun.  There were a lot of people, but there was also lots to do.  We waited in line to see the Easter Bunny, but both girls were terrified once it was their turn.  Evelyn wouldn't go anyway near the bunny.  It was a very friendly looking bunny too; oh well. There was an Easter egg hunt.  Each child got to find 6 eggs and every egg had a small toy inside.  Evelyn came home with a lot of spinning tops. Probably the best part were all the baby animals.   They had bunnies, chickens, ducks, goats, and lambs just sitting in little containers happy to be petted by hundreds of toddlers. Evelyn and Bella also got to plant a flower and make a bunny picture frame. Jameson slept the whole entire time in the stroller. Free popcorn!  That is probably what Evelyn would tell you was her favorite part.

Two month check up

Jameson weighs 13 lb 5 oz (72nd percentile) and is 23.25 inches long (58th percentile).  Doctor thought he was doing great and again commented on how chill he is.  Jameson got three shots and while he was not happy about them, he recovered quickly.  We still got cookies, coffee, and chocolate milk at Panera afterwards.  Mostly as reward for being on time for the 8am appointment.  And because Evelyn was sad she didn't get to see the doctor too. Yesterday, Evelyn got a Easter card from Mimi and Grandpa complete with stickers.  She had fun creating a picture with the stickers. Then she decided to share her stickers with Jameson.

2 months and Easter eggs

Jameson is 2 months old today.   His check-up is Wednesday morning.  Yesterday I removed all his 0-3 month clothes to make room for 3-6 month outfits in the closet; he is growing so fast!  He continues to sleep really well, generally waking up once at night to nurse (although last night he woke up twice). Jameson continues to be a pretty laid back baby.  He likes to take two big naps in the morning and afternoon, so it generally isn't hard to take him out and about.  He definitely has been giving us some big smiles lately too. Jameson loves Evelyn.  He gets so happy whenever she is close by. Yesterday we went to Bella's house and decorated Easter eggs.  The girls have so much fun together. Maryca found a way to decorate eggs with cool whip and food coloring.  You put the hard boiled eggs in vinegar for just a minute before hand to help the food color "stick." We swirled in different food color combos to cr...

Dress-Up

Evelyn played dress-up today.  She was a rhinestone cowgirl Cinderella. Jameson yesterday for St. Patrick's Day.

Dress shopping

This was the big weekend; Meredith came down to try on bridal dresses.  We went to three different stores, one on Friday and two on Saturday. Jameson came with us and was a champ.  He mostly slept.  Evelyn stayed home because as fun as it would have been to have her with us, there were far too many sparkly, expensive items within her reach. Meredith found her dress at the last store we visited.  I wish I could post a picture of the dress because it is gorgeous, but it will just have to wait till the big day : )
