The butterfly exhibit at the botanical gardens ends on Sunday, but today was the only day we could go if we wanted to see them one last time. So I gave Evelyn and Jameson the choice to go or stay home and they chose to go. It was a good choice. The butterflies were so active, just flying around everywhere. The area was busy when we first arrived, but we stayed long enough that as more people left, the butterflies seemed more willing to land on your person.
Cross country season is officially over. Last night was city finals and Blackhawk girls finished first. We took 1st, 3rd, 5th, 8th and 10th place. Evelyn ran 14:56, so about 10 seconds off her PR. She was 32nd overall out of 64 girls. Her place counted for her team which she was happy about. The boys did good too and finished in second place overall.
