Veggie meals

A sample of some of the vegetarian meals we've made in the past few days. The spinach and poached eggs came from a New York Times article from my mom. We ate it with crusty bread. The rice dish is called vegetable korma from vegetariantimes.com. I didn't take a picture of the black bean chipotle burgers but they were really good.

Mini vaca

We took a weekend trip to Decatur to visit my Mimi and Grandpa. On Saturday we drove to Springfield and went to Scheel's, a big outdoor and sports store. I also mentioned checking out Lincoln's tomb so Nate and I could rub his nose for good luck so we did that too.

Rummage sale

Every spring our church hosts a rummage sale to raise money for a mission trip to Peru. Tonight our small group sorted through clothes and books to get ready for the weekend.

Presents

Sometimes we get presents from patients at work, usually around Christmas or Valentines Day. But today we got a whole box of sweet corn seed. I was super excited but sad too because I don't think we will be able to plant any corn this summer.

Saturday night dinner

Everyone once in a while we splurge on a really good dinner. And in case you are wondering, we split one salmon filet (so there are leftovers!).

Gearing up

New shoes for the mini marathon.

Sleep deprived part 2

The big reveal, unless you saw my facebook status from Thursday night. Nate and I went with a bunch of friends Thursday night/Friday morning to see The Hunger Games opening night. It was the second time I've been to an opening night of a movie. In high school I saw Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. I love watching movies in a full theater, especially movies that have kind of a cult following. Everybody laughs and cheers and reacts together. The only thing better than a full theater is when you're the only people at the movie. Then you can talk and make comments and no cares. Anyway, as is with all books turned into movies, the book is always better. The movie was however still good (but maybe not so good as to warrant staying up practically the whole night). So my advice is read the books first.
