Packin' up

The trailer came today! My mom, my grandparents, and my aunt and uncle came over from Decatur to drop it off. Then my dad was here too because he has business in Columbus, IN tomorrow. It was good practice for next weekend. Then we all went to Dog'n'suds for dinner.

Morning yoga

Penny likes to work-out with me in the mornings.

Ice cream and rainbows

We worked really hard yesterday packing and while working hard we found a gift card to Cold Stone that had never been used. So we rewarded ourselves to a little treat. While out we saw this pretty double rainbow.

Sunflowers

Nate bought me some really pretty roses and sunflowers. Mostly because I had to go to the dentist (I hate the dentist) but also because applying for jobs is stressful. Plus, this is the first picture I took with instagram. Nate also took a picture with instagram.

Pizza and packing

I made pizza for dinner and yes it has an egg on it. It was different but good. We did a little packing and Penny helped.

A tale of two runs

It is amazing how much heat and humidity can make a difference during a run.  Last weekend in Holland it was 55 degrees when I started my run and I don't know what the humidity was but it couldn't have been very high.  Today in West Lafayette, it was 70 degrees when I left at 6:45 and 57% humidity (which is not super high I know but I'm trying to prove a point). Holland - 12.05 miles, 1:46:33, 8:50 avg. min/mi Mile 1 - 9:07 Mile 2 - 8:57 Mile 3 - 8:53 Mile 4 - 8:47 Mile 5 - 8:48 Mile 6 - 8:46 Mile 7 - 9:46 (water break) Mile 8 - 8:57 Mile 9 - 8:49 Mile 10 - 8:41 Mile 11 - 8:25 Mile 12 - 8:10 West Lafayette - 12.51 miles, 1:56:06, 9:17 avg. min/mi Mile 1 - 9:23 Mile 2 - 9:06 Mile 3 - 9:15 Mile 4 - 8:44 Mile 5 - 8:59 Mile 6 - 9:05 Mile 7 - 9:56 (water break) Mile 8 - 9:06 Mile 9 - 9:16 Mile 10 - 9:35 Mile 11 - 9:34 Mile 12 - 9:13 An alternate theory is that I always run better in Holland because I love running in Holland.

Weekend in Michigan

We got to spend the weekend with family in Michigan. We trailered up the sailboat since we decided not to bring it to Virginia. Nate and I spent Saturday morning in Holland. Nate worked at JP's and I ran. We spent lots of time with Isaac but I didn't take any pictures! On the way home our car broke down. But we got a tow and while we waited some nice people brought us ice water (Hoosier hospitality at its finest). It all worked out because we got to eat at the Whistle Stop in Monon, something we've wanted to do for the past 5 years.
