Evelyn is 22 months old or maybe she just skipped straight to 2 years old based on her behavior. We've had a rough week. To be fair, Evelyn was sick on Monday and maybe is still fighting something. Or she just really likes to say no and throw tantrums. Today was probably the worst so Nate decided to leave work an hour early and let me go to Kroger by myself. The break was nice and Evelyn was much better behaved in the evening.
Evelyn still loves gymnastics, music, and reading. She has started to string together words to make short phrases like "I love you" and "there you go." Evelyn also likes to say "no, sorry" which generally means "No I'm sorry you want that toy but you can't have it." Another new word is hurt when she has a boo boo, but she isn't always great at telling you what hurts.

On Wednesday, we took a trip to the mall to just get out of the house. We did a little shopping and checked out the Santa display.
Evelyn also got some time in the play area.
And then we got a special treat - her first Auntie Anne's pretzel.
